rtorgmode takes your Remember The Milk (aka RTM) task lists and exports them to the emacs org-mode format.

This product uses the Remember The Milk API but is not endorsed or certified by Remember The Milk.

What is this for?

I thought it was time to check the hype over org-mode as a to-do list manager. I made rtorgmode so I could export all my Remember The Milk tasks (going back five years) into the org-mode format.

How to use it?

You can run the hosted version by clicking here.

(Sadly, after four years and over several successful users, the hosted version is no more. And there are possibly newer/better options for doing this export job.)

Running it yourself

You can get the source from github, there are instructions there on how to run it yourself.

What options does rtmorgmode have?

None, but it exports most of your information from RTM. You can use emacs’ plaintext magic to further format the output however you want.

As far as I know, the only task data rtorgmode does not export is locations and task creation dates.

rtorgmode provides no way to sync back to RTM, it’s not a two-way bridge. If you want two-way syncing then you might like to look at simple-rtm.

Reporting Bugs

If you find a bug please raise an issue on github. Always feel free to send pull requests if you have contributions.

Requests for new features are welcome but may not be acted on by me. You could consider it a great opportunity to learn some basic Python & Bottle.py. :)
